The Club details...South Queensferry Probus Club was established on the 10th of December 1985 to provide a meeting place for retired Professional Businessmen, hence the abbreviation 'Probus'. Businesswomen are also welcome and they currently make up 25% of the club membership.Club meeting are held in the main hall of the "Castle Rock" Sheltered Housing at 40 Shore Road, South Queensferry. The Club arranges talks and presentations that are given by guest speakers.Occasionally, outings are arranged to places, such as; Dalmeny House, which is located in a beautiful estate belonging to Lord Rosebery located to the East of the town and near to Barnbougle Castle; the Falkirk Kelpies; a Guided Historic Tour of Edinburgh High Street and the Transpot Scotland's lecture room for update talks on the new Queensferry Crossing.
